Day Two - 6/27/11

Dear Diary,

I just took a tropical vacation to an island called Atoll! I met a pretty Egyptian cat named Ankha. I went into her house to find and amazing... Master Sword!

I didn't get many pictures because besides the ones above; I was too busy chasing dragonflies and beetles with my new bug net. The first bug I caught happened to be on the mainland in the rain.

I ran to the museum after arriving on solid land to donate all of the bugs I'd captured. I also visited my purple butterfly.

I hadn't been doing much after that, but when my sister Lizzie ran over to tell me about a new neighbor, I was very excited. I ran down to the beach to see a cute little pink squirrel named Peanut. Peanut was quite the energetic and peppy little thing, so I left a bit tired out.

I decided to talk to Copper, the local police chief, to see if anything was going on. We had a visitor!

I ran to meet this Saharah, and she had carpets! They were quite a rip-off, though, as she wanted an old carpet AND 3,000 Bells. Are you kidding? I could get three new carpets from Nook for that much!

After being disappointed with Saharah, I saw a yellow tent nearby. I ran inside to meet a snooty kangaroo named Valise. She wanted to play a game, but I had nothing to play with, so I ran around doing errands until Rocco gave me a nice doll. He just had to call me a hippie, though.

I ran back with my Yoko Doll to play with Valise. After a short game of Old Maid, I won about 5,000 Bells in exachange for the creepy doll. Hooray!

I ran home, tired from the day's wonders. I quickly fell asleep with my head propped up against the wall.

Day One - 6/29/11

Dear Diary,

Earlier today I picked up a ticket for Astrapia. I noticed someone had been following me, but I had never gotten the guts to look back. On the train I found out who that was.
A cat named Rover came to sit next to me. He promised he wouldn't drool on me, so I let him sit. He was a strange little cat, and his gaze seemed familiar. That's when he told me he had been behind me in line back at the station. I felt relieved to know that I wasn't being chased by a killer.

Rover asked me a few questions, yet as he did my face started to hurt. When he asked me if I had a place to stay, I nearly screamed. I had forgotten everything at the train station - My bags, my Bells, everything. I sadly replied 'no' to the cat, and he offered to help me out. After he took a short phone call, he told me that he had a friend in Astrapia who could help me. Our conversation slowed down as the train did, and when we arrived we were able to say our goodbyes.

I stepped off of the train to be greeted by a monkey. Confused with monkey language, I headed for the train station's exit, only to be attacked by a wild Tanuki! Insanely, he leaped at me, snarling about houses. I then realized that he was my new landlord and I had imagined his 'snarling' as laughing and his 'attack' as just walking towards me. I giggled to myself a bit. He told me his name was Tom Nook, and he took me to a square of four hideous houses. He explained that one was already taken, which I already knew. My little sister had been able to leave home just a day before me (somehow). I chose the house below hers, in the bottom left corner. It had a yellow roof and some nice wood panel floors inside. When I came out of the house, I was hit with what felt like a brick. I only had 1,000 Bells and now I'd have to work for Nook! Great, just great.

That sleezy 'raccoon' had me work for two hours running back and forth, with a ten minute break! Talk about exhausting. I was so excited when he told me that I was done working that I needed to change out of my work clothes...

I ran for home, changing into my favorite outfit. I then ran directly to my best friend Tangy's house to sleep in her bed (as I own none). After a quick nap I ran around town doing random errands and playing around. At the end of that long day, a sweet dog named Totakeke was outside of the train station. He played me a sweet melody and sent me home with an aircheck of the song, K.K. Country. I turned for home as the song played out in my head over and over. I curled up on the nice hardwood floor and eventually fell asleep.
